The University of Kentucky College of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and Med Center Health’s Women’s Health Specialists celebrated the first ever class of OB/GYN residency graduates on Friday, June 16th at the Bowling Green Country Club.

The class included three residents who were with The Medical Center for the last four years. All three will be going onto work at different hospitals.

  • Ashley Blake, DO – Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, KY
  • Rhiannon Mayes, DO – Lexington Women’s Health/Axia Health in Lexington, KY
  • Caitlin Spivey, DO – Lee Obstetrics & Gynecology in AL

Leaders at Women’s Health Specialists were so excited to celebrate their first group of graduates.

“It is exciting to see our first group of OB/GYN Residents who trained at Med Center Health and Women’s Health Specialists graduate,” said Meg Thomason, MSN, RN and practice manager for Women’s Health Specialists. “They’ve grown immensely these past four years. The experience they gained by working with all the providers, nurses and other staff will be evident in how they practice medicine from here on.  To see their growth as physicians has been so rewarding.  We couldn’t be more proud of these three ladies being our first group to graduate and demonstrate the outstanding training that MCH has to offer future residents.
