The Robert and Mary Tincher Foundation makes $1 Million Donation to Med Center Health Foundation

Med Center Health is pleased to announce The Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation, Inc. has made a $1,000,000 donation to Med Center Health Foundation. To honor this commitment, Med Center Health Foundation has renamed its Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program as the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program to help reflect all they have done for the children of Southcentral Kentucky. The gift will be invested as The Robert and Mary Tincher Endowment, and the earnings will be utilized for costs associated with the Guardian Angel Program.  Robert and Mary Tincher were long-time supporters of the Med Center Health Foundation.  Including this donation, the Tinchers and the Tincher Charitable Foundation have given more than $1.5 million to the Med Center Health Foundation.

The Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program is designed so no child suffers needlessly due to a basic medical or dental concern their family cannot afford. The mission of the program is to link children’s unmet medical and dental needs with charitable resources to reduce, or eliminate, the costs of healthcare.

“Robert and Mary Tincher’s commitment and loyalty to this community has resulted in $1 million donated to Med Center Health Foundation,” said Lawrence White, Board Chairman of the Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation.  “We want to continue their legacy by providing funds to local organizations benefitting the health of the citizens in this community, especially children receiving services from the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program.”

“Thank you to The Robert and Mary Tincher Charitable Foundation for this generous donation which furthers the mission of Med Center Health – ‘to care for people and improve the quality of life in the communities we serve’. This incredible endowment will positively impact the lives of children in our community by ensuring they have access to needed medical and dental services today, tomorrow and into the future,” said Connie Smith, President & CEO of Med Center Health.

Med Center Health Foundation will honor Robert and Mary Tincher with plaques displayed in the new High Street Tower and in the Community Dental Clinic.  The plaques represent the incredible impact the Tinchers have had on our community.

“We were looking to create a legacy for the Tinchers, and this was a perfect opportunity to do just that, since they both were extremely interested in helping children in our community receive the healthcare they need,” said Kathy Smith, Director of Annual Giving for Med Center Health Foundation.
