The Medical Center at Caverna celebrates ribbon cutting of new surgical suite
The Medical Center at Caverna celebrated a ribbon cutting of the newly-renovated Charles S. Caldwell Surgical Suite on Thursday, December 5. The $2.2 million renovation will allow the expansion of surgical services, further supporting the mission to care for citizens of Hart, Barren and surrounding counties.
Janet Leonard generously donated $500,000 to The Medical Center at Caverna in recognition of her close friend, Charles Caldwell, who was a leading patron of the hospital. This act of benevolence will undoubtedly help improve the care provided to the local community for many years. Med Center Health gratefully accepted the donation and decided that renovation of the current surgical suite was the best use of funds. There is now a sign outside of the suite honoring Mr. Caldwell.
Another $250,000 of funding was made possible by Congressman Brett Guthrie. His office paved the way for The Medical Center at Caverna to apply for a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant that helped make these renovations possible. The Medical Center at Caverna is incredibly grateful for the help provided by Congressman Guthrie’s office.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this renovation possible.
