Stovall named 2022 Hometown Hero!

The Jacksonian Festival this Saturday in Scottsville means it is also time for the annual Hometown Hero Recognition Ceremony. Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Linda Stovall, APRN, as the 2022 Hometown Hero! She has been an asset to the community for decades and has a heart of gold.

Please join us at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the 17th in the library quadrant of the Scottsville Wall of Fame on the square in Scottsville to celebrate Linda and her service to the community.

The Jacksonian Festival takes place on the square in Scottsville on Saturday, September 17. There will be lots of food, vendors and fun! The Medical Center at Scottsville will be providing free blood pressure screenings and grip strength tests.

Also happening during the Jacksonian Festival is the Jacksonian 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. You can still register at Runsignup.com — the deadline is Friday, September 16 at 11:59 p.m. The 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning and the 5K Race starts at 8:30 a.m. The start/finish line for both events will be in front of U.S. Bank in Scottsville (201 E Main St.).
