Sarah Saysanavong, CNA, awarded Brite Scholarship

Med Center Health Foundation is proud to announce Sarah Saysanavong, CNA with The Medical Center at Bowling Green 4C, is the recipient of the James W. and Mary Carolyn Wolfe Brite Nursing Scholarship for Spring 2021. The scholarship was presented to Sarah by Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Jill Payne, DNP, RN, CENP. Sarah is working on achieving her RN at Western Kentucky University.

When Sarah walked out of the breakroom, she looked around and saw several of her co-workers and her supervisor. She said, “Am I in trouble?” Then she saw Jill with a piece of paper in her hands and said, “Oh my gosh did I get it?!” and started crying tears of joy. It was the absolute best way to start a Friday morning!

This scholarship will provide $3,000 per semester for the rest of her time as a Nursing student, provided she maintains a 2.75 GPA.

She was awarded this scholarship following an application and interview process.
