Sameer Badarudeen, MD, named Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
Sameer Badarudeen, MD, FAAOS, Orthopaedic Surgeon with Med Center Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine was recently named a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS). The FAAOS designation distinguishes board-certified orthopaedic surgeons from other healthcare specialists as the leaders of the musculoskeletal health team with the level of skills, training, experience and professionalism consistent with the high standards established by the AAOS. The FAAOS designation represents a commitment to quality, professional development, and continuous education. This sets orthopaedic surgeons apart from other providers of the bone and joint health team.
In addition to his role as an orthopaedic surgeon with Med Center Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Dr. Badarudeen is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Badarudeen specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery through fellowship training in adult reconstruction from the University of Louisville and is certified in Mako™ Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery. He is a leader in the field of orthopaedic public health and patient education, and his research has been cited by the National Institutes of Health and its equivalent in the UK, the National Institute for Health Research, as well as many other prestigious publications.
