Med Center Health is pleased to add Gastroenterology to our growing specialty services.  The first provider, Dr. Leah R. Griggs, is currently accepting new patients ages 18 and older.  Gastroenterology will continue to see growth with the addition of three nurse practitioners in March 2025 who will help extend reach into outlying counties.

Med Center Health Gastroenterology is located on the first floor of the Western Kentucky Heart & Lung Building, located on The Medical Center at Bowling Green campus.

INPATIENT MEDICINE ASSOCIATES – Gastroenterology Hospitalist

The Hospitalist Program at The Medical Center at Bowling Green has added Gastroenterology to its scope of care for inpatients with the addition of Babu V. Rao, M.D. Dr. Rao relocates from Jackson, Tennessee where he practiced at West Tennessee Healthcare.

While Dr. Rao will provide hospitalist coverage, he will also perform interventional procedures for outpatients, partnering with Dr. Leah Griggs to coordinate comprehensive and seamless care for patients.

In addition to Gastroenterology, the Bowling Green Hospitalist program also provides specialized physician coverage for Pediatrics and OB/GYN patients.
