Medical Center EMS to host Heroes Festival

Medical Center EMS will host its 10th Heroes Festival on Sunday, October 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. on The Medical Center at Bowling Green campus. The trunk or treat event will feature local emergency service agencies who will join Medical Center EMS in handing out candy and interacting with participants. Children will have the chance to get an up-close look at ambulances, fire trucks, law enforcement vehicles, rescue helicopters and more.

“After a hiatus of two years due to the Covid pandemic, Medical Center EMS is excited to bring back the Heroes Festival for our community,” said Kendra Messenger, Medical Center EMS Paramedic. “Our paramedics and EMTs and area emergency personnel enjoy the opportunity to interact with children in a safe environment. Many times we encounter children during stressful and traumatic situations. This event enables children to see us in a fun and friendly setting which is a positive experience for them.”

The festival will be take place in the parking lots between 4th and 5th Streets. Follow Medical Center EMS on Facebook for more information.
