Med Center Health to Acquire Logan Memorial Hospital

Med Center Health announced on May 29, 2024 that Logan Memorial Hospital will become Med Center Health’s seventh hospital, anticipated to be effective July 1, 2024. Logan Memorial Hospital is a 75-bed acute care hospital located in Russellville, Kentucky that serves a population of approximately 45,000.

Logan Memorial Hospital’s bed complement includes 6 ICU/CCU beds and 10 swing beds. Other services include a surgery center with 3 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, a 24-hour physician staffed chest pain accredited emergency department, and imaging technology including PACS, 3D digital mammography, spiral 16-slice CT, 3D ultrasound, MRI, echo and nuclear medicine. Logan Memorial Hospital also offers cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, laboratory services, infusion center, outpatient rehabilitation and a 2-bed sleep disorder center. The medical staff is comprised of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, pain management, urology, pathology, orthopedic surgery, interventional radiology, and ophthalmology. The acquisition also includes 3 medical office buildings on the main campus as well as rural health clinics located in Russellville, Auburn, and Elkton.

Med Center Health owns and operates the region’s most comprehensive hospital, The Medical Center, in Bowling Green. It also owns and operates The Medical Center at Scottsville, The Medical Center at Franklin, The Medical Center at Caverna, The Medical Center at Albany, and Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. Following the acquisition, the hospital formerly known as Logan Memorial Hospital will become The Medical Center at Russellville.
