Med Center Health sponsors 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Med Center Health sponsored the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on November 9.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care, and support. Each participant carries a flower to represent how the disease has impacted their life. The colors of the flowers and their meanings are as follows:

• Blue: Someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia
• Purple: An individual who has lost someone to the disease
• Yellow: A person who is currently supporting or caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s
• Orange: A participant who supports the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and other dementia

Participants carry the flowers around the stadium and then plant them in the field.

Med Center Health had a booth to provide information about our Alzheimer’s Support Group, our Home Health Program, Adult Day Program, and Cal Turner LTC. Thank you to everyone that attended and helped make this event happen!
