Med Center Health Expands General Surgery Practice

In 2016, Med Center Health opened its first General Surgery practice when Tracy Cross, M.D. joined the organization, coinciding with the acquisition of Clinton County Hospital which is now The Medical Center at Albany. Since then, the number of general surgeons has steadily increased. In 2023, Med Center Health partnered with Graves Gilbert Clinic through a physician services agreement to add Drs. Amber Chambers, Tage Haase, and Timothy Wierson to the General Surgery team. And now with two new physicians having joined in August, the team has grown to eight general surgeons who see patients in Albany, Bowling Green, Franklin, Russellville and Scottsville. This expansion provides convenient access for patients to stay close to home for surgical care.
