Congratulations to Paula Gleason for being named Employee of the Month for March 2025. Paula is an RN at The Medical Center at Bowling Green’s Outpatient Recovery Floor. Paula was nominated by numerous coworkers. Thank you, Paula, for all that you do here!
“Paula has been with the Medical Center for more than 30 years. Every day, she demonstrates exceptional bedside care and kindness. She creates a safe and nurturing environment for all her patients. She explains procedures, recovery process, and post-op care in a manner that patients can understand. She always listens to her patients and initiates MD assistance when needed. Due to her excellent skills, her patient’s needs are met and adverse reactions are addressed in a timely manner. She always recognizes abnormal patient responses. She makes her patients feel safe and valued. Paula has a good relationship with our physicians and co-workers. She goes the extra mile every day. She will pick up extra shifts when needed. She recognizes when a co-worker needs assistance and willingly steps up to help. She assists new staff to make them more confident in providing patient care to aid in their growth in the healthcare field. She has a positive attitude, and she is reliable, kind, and compassionate. Paula is always willing to be a team player and also take the lead when needed. She demonstrates professionalism every day, while caring for her patients. It is an honor to work with Paula, and I would feel safe in her care. She is a true patient advocate, team player, and leader. No one is more deserving than Paula for this honor. Paula has had experience recovering pediatric patients and will often take those patients even if it’s not her turn in rotation. She will jump in willingly when we have to place a chest tube or have a code, even if it’s not her patient. She sets an example we all should follow.” – Faye Thompson
“Paula has been an amazing help to her team, especially with 30 years of experience. She is always going above and beyond to support both patients and team members. She is always willing to pick up extra shifts and volunteers to take care of pediatric patients. Working with her is always a pleasure and a warm welcoming environment.” – Kimberly Gama
“Paula is always willing to step in and help anyone who needs assistance with prepping or recovering patients. She also never complains about having to do so. She is a true team player. If PACU ever needs extra help, she volunteers to help their department as well. She has a very positive attitude each day and works many overtime hours to help our department.” – Haleigh Sanders
