Local Leaders Hear from Med Center Health Experts at Chamber Breakfast

More than 70 community members gathered at the Allen County Co-Op Extension Office on October 16 for the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce Breakfast, sponsored by The Medical Center at Scottsville. The event highlighted Med Center Health’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare across the region.

Amanda Howard, Administrator of Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care, opened the program with an overview of Med Center Health’s regional network and the services offered locally. Eric Hagan, Vice President of Rural Hospitals, moderated a physician panel featuring Drs. Pravin Avula, Amanda McGeorge, Baylor Blickenstaff, and Zahid Fraser. The discussion covered preventive medicine, metabolic syndrome, sleep medicine, sports medicine, orthopaedic advancements, and pediatric immunizations.

Attendees warmly welcomed Med Center Health representatives, with one community member sharing an impromptu testimonial praising the exceptional care his mother receives at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.
