Are you an upcoming May 2026 nursing graduate (or know someone who is)? If so, you need to check out the Med Center Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program that starts June 2nd, 2026. This program educates and supports the graduate nurse in the transition from the classroom to the bedside during the first 6 months of their professional career. Through this structured program, Med Center Health provides the support and resources that graduate nurses need to transition smoothly into professional practice.
Our nursing educators and unit preceptors will assist you in:
- Didactic presentations and discussion on clinical topics and patient situations
- Simulation with multiple patient situations and critical patient changes in a safe learning environment
- Hands-on experience with equipment
- Interdepartmental visits
- Department-specific classes to meet the unique requirements of your nursing unit
- Critical care classes for specialty nursing units
- Preceptor-led unit orientation
- Interdisciplinary teaching
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification training
- Pediatric Life Support certification training
- Trauma Informed Care training
The New Graduate progresses through the program based on their individual needs and those of the nursing unit for which they are hired all in collaboration between the Clinical Manager, Preceptor and the New Graduate.
