Internal Medicine Program places 4th in national competition

Three of our local Internal Medicine residents; Dr. Michael Smith, PGY3, Dr. Hamza Mufarrih, PGY2, and Dr. Nada Qureshi, PGY2 (team Kentucky) placed 4th out of 54 teams in the annual Doctor’s Dilemma competition at the National American College of Physicians (ACP) Conference in Boston April 18-20, 2024.

The College’s national medical jeopardy competition, Doctor’s Dilemma, is held each year at the ACP’s annual conference. Doctor’s Dilemma is a quick recall competition that tests medical knowledge and pits teams from each state and several foreign countries against each other in three separate days of competition. Our team was coached by Dr. Suman Shekar and was accompanied to Boston by Dr. Sam Hardcastle, the Internal Medicine Program Director.

We congratulate our team as they represented our state and program very well!
