Hospitalist Program Grows to Meet Demand

Since June, the number of physicians serving our hospital patients has greatly increased to meet the demand for inpatient coverage. As more physicians limit their practice to outpatient medicine, the need for physicians trained in Internal Medicine who can provide specialized care to our hospitalized patients continues to grow. Hospitalists also care for patients with out-of-town physicians, and patients who do not have an established primary care physician.

Meet Our Newest Hospitalists

The following hospitalists have joined Inpatient Medicine Associates to provide coverage at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. With these additions, the Bowling Green Hospitalist team now comprises 25 providers, including Pediatric hospitalists.

The Medical Center at Franklin

Nida Zubair, M.D. joined Med Center Health in August and is the first full-time hospitalist at The Medical Center at Franklin. She earned her medical degree at Dow Medical College in Pakistan and completed Internal Medicine residency training at North Alabama Medical Center and University of Missouri Heath Care.

Pediatric Hospitalist Program
In spring 2024, The Medical Center at Bowling Green and UK HealthCare’s Kentucky Children’s Hospital introduced the area’s first and only Pediatric Hospitalist Program. Nicole Anania, D.O. serves as the Medical Director and has been instrumental in building this new program. She will be joined by Casey Cordts, M.D. in September. Dr. Cordts earned his medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his Pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin through Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals.
