Good Samaritan – Dr. Michael Collins

Congratulations to Dr. Michael Collins on receiving the Good Samaritan Award! Dr. Collins was nominated for embodying Med Center Health’s mission to care for people and improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.

“Dr. Collins has always been an example of the perfect bedside manner, dedication, knowledge and compassion. He frequently calls the ED and helps us to treat his cases that he has been involved. Many times, these cases are from a home bound situation where he has provided personal physician services in the patients residence. His care is impeccable, despite not having the resources available to most of us for ongoing medical evaluations. He helps provide testing and medications to patients who just cannot get to a doctor’s office, despite the inconveniences to him personally. He extends his compassion to those in other countries such as Kenya. Not only does he arrange to bring services and medications to the impoverished in Africa, he does so at a personal financial cost, as well as security risk to himself. I could not ask for a better friend or physician than Dr. Michael Collins.“ – Dr. William Moss
