Good Samaritan – Beth Basham

Congratulations to Beth Basham, an ER Tech, on receiving the Good Samaritan Award! Beth was nominated for the work she does in our community that exemplifies Med Center’s mission to care for the people and improve the quality of life in the community we serve.

Beth is a young adult going through nursing school with Med Center Health. She has a heart of gold and a smile that is contagious. She works in the ER and is well-known for her outgoing personality and willingness to help. She started in the registration portion of the ER and is now an ER tech, while going through the nursing program. She has helped at the local VFW and serves in the VFW Auxiliary, because her father, Donnie Basham, was in the Army. She is always reaching out to different organizations to help in the community. She recently helped with TOYS For Tots 8th annual Cookies with Santa at the American Legion for the VFW and VFW Auxiliary that served more than 350 kids this year. She also assisted in the parade that morning. In November, she traveled to Henderson, North Carolina, to help distribute a trailer of food and supplies to the victims of Hurricane Helene. Deputy Cole Murphy was very appreciative of all the outpouring support and the $13,000 check to the Henderson County Heroes that was supported by Bowling Green, KY AMVETS, American Legion, and the VFW. Beth has always supported the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as her dad was deployed when she was a little girl and is now a member of POST 1298 here in Bowling Green. Beth has always been moved to serve and does a great job of it. She has a genuinely giving personality and a heart of gold.” – Jill Waddle
