Franklin celebrates stroke certification
On August 10, The Medical Center at Franklin celebrated receiving certification through The Joint Commission as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. A nice day for celebrating a job well done!
Earlier this year, The Medical Center at Franklin earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Acute Stroke Ready Hospital Certification. During a rigorous, onsite review, a Joint Commission reviewer evaluated compliance with related certification standards including program management, the delivery of clinical care and performance improvement. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The reviewer also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
