CCU celebrates patient safety milestone
This week, we celebrated the team members of The Medical Center at Bowling Green Coronary Care Unit (CCU), who have been working extremely hard to provide high quality, safe care.
We celebrated 402 days without an indwelling urinary catheter infection and 418 days without a central line infection, and the days keep counting! Team members have worked diligently and implemented new policies and procedures to achieve this milestone.
“I want to thank my team for rising to the challenge, being diligent in your stewardship and maintenance of invasive lines/tubes, and owning a process vital to our patient population and their outcomes,” said Jordan Keen, Clinical Manager of Coronary Care and Central Monitoring.
