BEE Award – Nate Lamar

Congratulations to Nate Lamar on being given the BEE Award! Nate is a Physical Therapist Assistant with Med Center. Thank you so much to Nate for all of his hard work and for the care he shows to each of his patients. The following is from Nate’s nomination:

I work closely with all staff members on a daily basis in our unit. Nate goes above and beyond when it comes to motivating patients who are unmotivated in their care. Therapy is an important skill needed to get patients qualified for insurance approval for rehab. Nate always has a good attitude and never complains when asked to work with patients. Nate is always on time for morning meetings to discuss patients and has great communication skills with the Multidisciplinary Team. For those reasons, and many more, I nominate Nate Lamar, PTA for the BEE Award.” – Adriana Herrera-Cabrera

The BEE Award (Be Extraordinary Everyday) recognizes the impact that Clinical Support Staff have on a patient’s overall experience. Clinical Support Staff includes clinical nursing assistants (CNAs), patient care assistants (PCAs), unit clerks and other clinical support members. Med Center Health presents the DAISY Award to honor and celebrate the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. But we all know that you can’t have daisies without outstanding bees. These support staff members consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical experience and extraordinary compassionate care. Recipients of the BEE Award are recognized as outstanding role models in our organization and community.

You can say thank you by sharing your story of how a clinical support staff member made a difference you will never forget. Visit MedCenterHealth.org/bee-award to nominate an extraordinary clinical support staff member.
