BEE Award – Candice Williams
Congratulations to Candice Williams on being given the BEE Award! Candice is a Nursing Assistant on the Progressive Care Unit at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Thank you so much to Candice for all of her hard work and for the excellent care given to her patients. The following is from Candice’s nomination:
“Candice is constantly recognized by her patients in every round I do. Her patients describe her as ‘kind, caring, and compassionate’ and one said ‘She’s such a ray of sunshine. She makes being stuck in the hospital so much better. I don’t feel like a burden when she’s taking care of me.’ Candice hasn’t been with Med Center Health long, but she is already a preceptor and has gotten several compliments. I’ve seen nurses relax when she’s the CNA that day because they know their patients are taken care of.” – Ashton Smith and a former patient
The BEE Award (Be Extraordinary Everyday) recognizes the impact that Clinical Support Staff have on a patient’s overall experience. Clinical Support Staff includes clinical nursing assistants (CNAs), patient care assistants (PCAs), unit clerks and other clinical support members. Med Center Health presents the DAISY Award to honor and celebrate the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. But we all know that you can’t have daisies without outstanding bees. These support staff members consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical experience and extraordinary compassionate care. Recipients of the BEE Award are recognized as outstanding role models in our organization and community.
