Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update and Visitation Restrictions

Visitation restrictions are in effect at all Med Center Health hospitals and Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.

See Med Center Health’s response to COVID-19 on our Coronavirus Update page.

“ACOG [American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists] and SMFM [Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine] are the governing bodies for obstetrics and gynecology, as well as maternal-fetal medicine for the last group, and they are now all strongly recommending that all pregnant, lactating and women of reproductive age receive the COVID vaccine to decrease the risk of severe illness.

“There is no evidence to support any change in fertility associated with the COVID vaccine. The question about whether or not the vaccine affects the developing fetus has been studied and we have ongoing research to support that. The data from the V-Safe registry is very encouraging that there have been no bad effects for any baby whose mother received the vaccine during pregnancy.”
