“Hi, I am Paul Maglinger. I’m the service chief of anesthesiology at Med Center Health, and I’m a strong proponent of vaccinations for all of our employed healthcare workers at Med Center Health. I think it’s really important for the health and wellbeing of our community knowing that when you go and get care at your local hospital that you’re being cared for by those who have the absolute best protection that they can have in putting you at the lowest risk of contracting a potentially fatal disease while you’re in the hospital.

“I’ve talked with many members of the staff here and have been encouraged in their enthusiasm for getting vaccines so we can follow the mission statement of the hospital in providing the best care that we can possibly for this community.

“I feel like the vaccine is very safe and effective from a thorough review of the scientific literature and the abundant amount of medical professionals–leaders of the scientific and medical communities—who have all come out and strongly endorsed this vaccine. Two billion people worldwide have already received the vaccine, and we feel very strongly that it provides not only the healthcare provider very important protection but also for the patients we care for. We care deeply for this community and we want to see a strong movement to end this pandemic and to able to provide the care for people and the other health issue that they have and not be having to have our hospital full of patients fighting COVID. That way, we can focus on the other healthcare problems that people have – heart disease, cancer – those things are so important that we’re able to focus on those and have the hospital beds available that we need for those patients.

“We have a safe and effective preventative treatment for COVID. We want all of our employees to enthusiastically adopt that so we can provide the best care we can for this community.”

Paul Maglinger, M.D.
