Outpatient Programs

Behavioral health programs are for those needing professional assistance in gaining and maintaining mental health. While each program has its own set of defined goals, the ultimate goal is to enable individuals to lead healthy and productive lives.

INTENSIVE outpatient program

This program, referred to as Passages, offers treatment for adults diagnosed with a primary psychiatric disorder. As part of the program, group therapy is offered three times per week. This program is designed to:

  • Avoid hospitalization for individuals in acute crisis, bur who have a supportive and stable living environment.
  • Reduce hospital length of stay by providing a transition from inpatient care to community living.
  • Helps patients recognize and change self-defeating attitudes and behaviors that undermine their well-being and self-esteem.
  • Assure that appropriate aftercare plans and referrals are made when the patient completes the program.

Individual outpatient services

This program is offered no more than once per week and is designed for those individuals who can safely benefit from less intense treatment. Couples, family and individual sessions are offered.

Free assessments are available for individuals seeking outpatient mental health services by calling (270) 796-2550. A program representative will arrange for the assessment, where we will ask for additional information about the problem and/or stressors to ensure the most appropriate level of care.
