10K Start

The 10K will start on Avenue of Champions near L.T. Smith Stadium. Participants in the 10K should begin to assemble at the Start Line, at 8:00 am. Seeders will place you on the starting line based upon your expected 10K running pace. Seeders will have signs that indicate the number of minutes that, on the average, a runner expects to run each mile.

For example, if you expect to run the 10K in 40 minutes, then line up behind the seeder at the start with the sign that shows “6 Minutes.”

For the safety of all runners, please do not line up ahead of your realistic pace. Such action will impede the faster runners and also can cause a safety hazard. For liability reasons, we ask that there be no strollers, pets or use of headsets on the course.

5K Start

The 5K Run will start on Avenue of Champions near L.T. Smith Stadium. Participants in the 5K should begin to assemble at the Start Line, at 7:15 am. Participants can run or walk! Awards for the 5K are presented to the top finishers of the event.

Children’s Classic

The Children’s Classic will return again this year! You will be able to register your child online through RunSignUp starting June 1. Remember, 90% of the race will be completed prior to the day of the race while your child is training for the big day. The children will keep a training log (calendar). Each participant will complete 5 1/2 miles of the race during their training.

There will be one race at 9:30 am for Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Participants will meet and check in at 9 a.m. at the WKU Football Stadium Concourse (Enter through Gates 5 and 6). Children will run the last 1K of the 10K Classic. It will be an exciting experience watching the children coming in among the others. (Parking will be available in Parking Structures 1 and 2, as well as Creason Lot and Parking Structure 3 on the corner of University Blvd. and Russellville Rd.)

BG3

For the 10th year, runners will have an opportunity to participate in a local race series, the bg3. The bg3 consists of three events: the Lions Club Run For Sight 5K, Med Center Health 10K Classic (10K only) and the bg26.2 (half or full marathon). If you run all three events, you will receive a bg3 medal.
