Registration opening for 10K Classic – June 1

Racers, it’s time to start warming up! Registration for Med Center Health’s 10K Classic opens June 1. Anyone interested in signing up for this year’s race can visit mch10k.com. The 10K Classic will be held on Saturday, September 14.

In its 45th year, the Med Center Health 10K Classic will start and end on the picturesque campus of Western Kentucky University. Boasting one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation, with 200 sprawling acres, WKU’s main campus features 53 buildings crowning a commanding hilltop. This year’s races will feature a 5K Run/Walk, a 10K Wheelchair Race, The Med Center Health 10K Classic, and the Children’s Classic (For grades K-5th).

“The 10K is a community event that has been around for many years,” said Sarah Widener, Director of Community Wellness for Med Center Health. “If someone is seeking motivation to start exercising regularly, training for the race is a great place to start with a goal in mind. The 10K can be a new tradition that someone looks forward to annually. We know there are a lot of people who enjoy walking but not running. We encourage walkers to sign up for our 5K or 10K depending on their fitness level. We also have a wheelchair race for men and women. If you aren’t able to participate in one of the races, we have volunteer opportunities, as well.”

Med Center Health would like to thank the principal sponsor of this event, Western Kentucky University. We also appreciate U.S. Foods sponsoring the Pasta Party and Graves Gilbert Pediatrics for sponsoring the Children’s Classic.
