Our hospital, in partnership with The University of Kentucky College of Medicine, currently offers multiple Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited training programs designed to produce skilled physicians focused on delivering patient-centered, evidence-based, cost-effective care.
The Medical Center offers residents and fellows the opportunity to learn in a leading regional teaching facility with state-of-the-art technology and a diverse patient mix under supervision provided by outstanding board-certified teaching faculty. Both the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and The Medical Center will continuously strive to create an environment conducive to maximize the learning experience and to ensure availability of adequate resources and support for our trainees.
APPLYING FOR GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION
All program applications are made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applicant recruitment is coordinated by each individual program. Specific minimum eligibility criteria is outlined via the Prospective Applicants page located within each individual residency and fellowship program’s section of this website. If you are an international medical graduate, a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is also required.
Candidates who match into one of our training programs will be employed by the University of Kentucky (UK). The University of Kentucky is committed to a policy of providing equal employment opportunities to all candidates.
